Z-Wine Co. was established in 2006 to apply state-of-the-art biochip technology to fulfill the unmet need for a rapid, easy-to-use, low-cost immunoassay for testing spoilage microorganisms in wine. The most prevalent wine contaminant is Brettanomyces and the company has developed an immunoassay for the early detection of this wild yeast.

Z-Enology has recently introduced the Z-Brett Assay™

It can be performed along with the routine tests done regularly during the fermentation process AT THE WINERY, without the need for expensive equipment, specialized technician training, outside testing or substantial modification of the quality/production control workflow.
